Lagos, Nigeria – August 8, 2025 – Tastebudz Culinary Academy, a leading culinary school in Lekki, Lagos, is proud to announce that it has been granted Provisional Approval by the Lagos State Government to operate as a licensed Private Vocational Catering Training Centre.
The approval, issued by the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, authorizes Tastebudz Culinary Academy to deliver hands-on catering and cooking courses to out-of-school youths and adults, equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in the food and hospitality industry.
Mrs. Benedicta Nkemdilim Olarinde, Coordinator of Tastebudz Culinary Academy, expressed her excitement about this milestone:

Effective from July 25, 2025, the approval is renewable annually, subject to inspection and adherence to official training standards. The academy will operate exclusively as a catering-focused training centre, offering a range of programs that include practical cooking classes, baking courses, and hospitality business training.
Catering, in this context, goes beyond simply preparing meals. The academy’s hands-on courses incorporate Culinary Arts, Patisserie, and Restaurant Management—three pillars of a well-rounded catering education. Students learn professional food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen hygiene; explore the craft of bread making, French pastries, and desserts; and gain business skills such as restaurant setup, staff coordination, costing, event catering logistics, and service management. This integrated approach ensures graduates are prepared not only to cook but to run successful food service operations.
